Right now we are in the middle of the big awards season. It has just been two weeks since the Golden Globes were held in Los Angeles and the biggest award show of them all, the Academy Awards are just a couple of weeks away. Another not as big but nether the less important award (A win here and you have a big chance of getting an Oscar later) is the Screen Actors Guild Awards. This year's award (the 13th's) was held last night at the Shrine Auditorium in Los Angeles.

This year's biggest winner was Helen Mirren who won for both Outstanding Performance by a Female Actor in a Leading Role and Outstanding Performance by a Female Actor in a Television Movie or Miniseries. Other winners were Forest Whitaker (Male Actor in a Leading Role - The Last King of Scotland), Eddie Murphy & Jennifer Hudson (Male / Female Supporting Role for Dreamgirls), Hugh Laurie (Male Actor in a Drama Series for House M.D.) and Chandra Wilson (Female Actor in a Drama Series - Grey's Anatomy).
