Joaquin Phoenix and Reese Witherspoon star in the new movie Walk the Line. It's based on country music legend Johnny Cash's life and follows a young Cash (played by Phoenix) from his poor background to his rise to fame with Sun Records and his tours with rock and roll pioneers like Elvis Presley, Carl Perkins, Roy Orbison and Jerry Lee Lewis. The movie debuted at number 2 at the box office and has gotten great reviews from critics so far.
The cast also includes Robert Patrick (Terminator 2 & Ladder 49) as Cash's father, Shelby Lynne (Cash's mother) and Ginnifer Goodwin (Mona Lisa Smile) as Vivian - Cash's first wife. The "Walk the Line" premieres took place 1-2 weeks ago. Here are pics from a few of the events. I decided to focus on the actresses in the movie and not on the invited ones.
