Hellgate:London preview / Eva Longoria - 2005 Derby Day

From the creators of the Diablo series comes Hellgate:London, a new game that's being described as a cross between a first-person shooter and an adventure role-playing game. The game is set in the near-future city of London right after hordes of demons has started to appear from the deep. As in Diablo, the game will feature randomized dungeons & items and a skill-tree for character development. Hellgate let you choose from a first-person view or to play in a third-person perspective. Both of them have their advantages depending on the situation.

At the start of the game you can choose from a number of classes but so far only the Templar class has been revealed. Templars seems to be a cross between a melee and a ranged type of class because they are good at both using all kinds of body armor and can wield a weapon in either hand (for example one ranged and one melee weapon). They also have skills that focus on "auras", a type of energy fields that radiate from the character and can either hinder nearby enemies or strengthen nearby foes.
