The 61st International Cannes Film Festival has opened. Founded in 1946, The Cannes Film Festival is held every May and is one of the world's biggest, influential and prestigious festivals. The most prestigious award given out at Cannes is the Palme d'Or ("Golden Palm") for the best film.
This year's opening movie was Blindness, a drama/thriller from Brazilian director Fernando Meirelles known from movies such as City of God and The Constant Gardener. The movie stars Julianne Moore and Mark Ruffalo.
It's been a while since I last posted pics of actress Natalie Portman so I decided to focus on her in today's post. The pictures are taken from the Blindness premiere last night. Natalie is a also a member of this year's jury lead by actor Sean Penn. I also added a couple of HQ's taken at a jury introduction. Check back for more pics from the Blindness premiere.
Let's continue with the next request. Even though high quality pictures of Sarajevo-born American actress Ivana Milicevic are pretty hard to find I managed to get a few.
You might have seen Ivana in Charles Robert Carner's movie Witless Protection earlier this year. If not, I guess you haven't missed that much because the movie is currently on IMDB's bottom 100 list. So if you want to see a great movie with Ivana in it, watch the Bond movie Casino Royale in where she portrays Le Chiffre's companion Valenka.
She has also appeared in numerous TV series such as "Love Monkey", "Fallen" and most recently as a guest star in "Chuck" and "Ugly Betty". Ivana Milicevic has also starred in movies such as Running Scared (2006) and Just Like Heaven (2005).
